A Better Day

If I can be honest, a better day could be anything as long as I’m not at home. There’s no reason to lie. I feel like I’m in the cycle of following the sun for the time, not paying attention to the days that went by. I’m not sure what I would do the moment the lockdown is lifted; should I go out and be wild or keep it cool? A better day could be going to the beach, enjoy the sand squishing underneath my feet. The water coming to the shores with a gentle welcome splash around my ankles up to my knees. I miss the way the ocean talks to me. Perhaps a better day would be going to the museum, walking in the building, feeling the cool breeze. A place that screams Home Sweet Home. A huge smile on my face the moment I escape into the world of art. Since I’m talking about museums, let me no forget the underground artist that is thriving towards their success in making a name for themselves. At the end of the day, “Humans are gifted, it’s a choice and not a demand,” allowing me to believe I have the potential to reach my dream.

A better day would be appreciating what I took for granted and acknowledge what I truly love. The moment I took off my rose-colored glasses. I began to see life a little different, I began to see myself a different. All the healing I’m doing opening up and being honest with myself, opening up and being real with myself. Oh! A better day that one day can change into a perfect day. Probably t have to see a hashtag of someone with the same complexion as me. While doing the minors things, for example, running, driving, speaking their mind, or leaving the gas station with Skittles and Arizona Tea. A day when people can finally treat us equally and see us for who we are a human being. When that day arrives, I promise you that heaven will open their skies when the angels see that day come.

A better day would be when humankind can truly open their eyes and see the world and the pain we caused. We are the virus that Mother Earth always tries to get rid of, with every disease, flu war, and darkness that surround every existence of life. You think by now we will try to do something right. A better day could be several things, what I wrote is just the start. There would be a chance to make things right.
